Choosing our next Animal Sweaters is the best part of the whole year! You gave me so many great submissions! After carefully going through them all, I finally got it down to 8 amazing new Animals.
This year is particularly special because it marks our 20th Year of Animal Sweaters. Can you believe it? Thank you for being on this wild journey with us. We are still making all of our sweaters here in Melbourne with our local talented team.
Our mission stays the same- to celebrate the incredible diversity of the natural world through comfy clothing that sparks curiosity and conversation.
But one thing is different- this season we're introducing 2 new styles- a Crop Hoodie and a Box Hoodie!
For 20th edition I wanted to make some magic happen. So here we have our 8 new Animals:
🖤 Black Cockatoos
Australia's Black Cockatoos are known for their outgoing personalities and beautiful markings. I wanted to show all 5 Species- The Yellow Tail Cockatoo, Red Tail Cockatoo, Glossy Black Cockatoo, Carnaby's Cockatoo and Baudin's Cockatoo.
All of them are under stress due to habitat loss as they nest in old hollow trees. They're a beautiful reminder of our unique native wildlife and the importance of protecting their delicate ecosystems. In the Pre-Sale Im giving $20 from each sweater sold to Birdlife.org.au to help protect them.

🦎 Thorny Devil
One of Australia's most extraordinary reptiles, the Thorny Devil looks like something from another planet. Covered in impressive spikes and perfectly adapted to life in the desert, absorbing water through their skin, it's proof that nature has the best imagination.

🎶 Lyrebird
Famous for its spectacular tail and astonishing ability to mimic almost any sound, the Lyrebird is one of Australia's greatest performers. It's a bird that celebrates creativity, making it a perfect addition to the Lenko collection.

🌊 Giant Cuttlefish
Masters of camouflage and communication, Giant Cuttlefish can change colour and pattern in an instant. Ancient, Intelligent, curious and endlessly fascinating. These beautiful cephalopods have been under a lot of stress lately due to warming oceans and algae invasions. I'm giving $20 from each one sold in the Pre-Sale to marineconservation.org.au to help save them for years to come.

🐝 Blue-banded Bees
Tiny but unforgettable, Blue-banded Bees are among Australia's most important native pollinators. Their dazzling electric-blue stripes make them one of our brightest designs yet, while celebrating the small creatures that play such a vital role in our food production cycle. I also want to show the native flowers that we should be planting more of.

🌳 Tree Kangaroo
Did you know not all kangaroos live on the ground? Tree Kangaroos spend much of their lives high in rainforest canopies, gracefully climbing branches with incredible agility, their long tail helping them to balance. They're one of Australia's most surprising marsupials—and one we're thrilled to finally bring to life.

🐟 Blue Groper
Curious, friendly and brilliantly blue, the Blue Groper is a favourite among divers and snorkellers along Australia's coastline. Often referred to a the puppy dog of the sea, It's a gentle reminder of the colourful underwater world waiting just beneath the surface.

🌍 Jane Goodall
This year's collection also honours someone who has inspired millions to care for animals: Dr Jane Goodall.
Her lifelong dedication to wildlife conservation has transformed our understanding of chimpanzees and inspired generations to believe that every individual can make a difference. This sweater celebrates a life devoted to compassion, curiosity and hope. $20 from every Jane sweater sold will go to Janegoodall.org.au

Celebrating 20 Years
This collection feels especially meaningful as Lenko celebrates 20 years of designing and making Animal Sweaters in Australia.
Over two decades, we've created more than 100 Animal Sweaters, each one inspired by remarkable species and made to spark conversations wherever they're worn. Some celebrate endangered wildlife, others highlight little-known Australian species, but every design begins with the same idea: that clothing can inspire people to notice, appreciate and fall in love with the natural world.
We're incredibly grateful to everyone who's supported Lenko over the years. Whether you've collected Animal Sweaters since the early days or you're discovering us for the first time, thank you for being part of our journey.
We hope these newest additions find a place in your wardrobe—and your heart.
Here's to twenty years of animals, colour, curiosity and Australian-made creativity, with many more remarkable species still waiting to be stitched.
Love Lenko xo
