Moths, the furry flying fraggles of the sky! I tried to include a few of your favourite into this design- thanks for the requests!

Moths are from the insect order Lepidoptera, which they share with their more popular relative the Butterfly. But what if I told you moths outnumber butterflies 9 to 1? There are around 160,000 species of moths in the world, compared to 17,500 types of butterflies. The main difference between them is that moths are generally nocturnal and have feathery antennas- but not always! People think Butterflies are colourful and moths are brown- but that is alsp not always true! Moths come in some of the most beautiful patterns and colours known in the insect world.

Moths play an important role in pollinating plants and flowers. Check out some of their incredible markings designed to look like eyes and even snakes to deter wannabe predators.

I hope you love the Moth Sweater- it's possible the most intricate design we've ever made! thousands of stitches make up the complex wing patterns and theres hand-cut 3D fringing details in the antennae!
