Here we see our popcorn scented pal the Binturong!
Arctictis Binturong are also known as Bearcats- but, you guessed it- they’re not bears, nor cats! They are more closely related to civets in the Viverridae family.
Binturongs live in Southeast Asia and are arboreal, meaning they spend a lot of time up in the trees. That’s where they like to sleep, eat their fruit-rich diet and hang out. Their bodies are well suited to their forest canopy life- they have strong arms and big claws allowing them to climb with ease.
They have these long, prehensile tails they can use for balance and stability, wrapping them around branches for support.
The most fun fact that everyone knows about Binturongs is that they smell like… buttered popcorn! Sure ok! Yes, it’s true- they have scent glands they use to communicate with other binturongs. It helps them identify each other, mark their territory and they can even use it to attract a mate! Do you find the smell of popcorn attractive? Maybe you are a Binturong?

This sweater is super plush and soft inside to keep you cosy while you hang around in the trees or snack on popcorn. Its a 2 piece applique with special hand-cut ear fluff details.

I hope you love this sweater, made with love just for you!
